CivicRadar does not use:
- Tracking cookies
- Advertising or marketing cookies
- Third-party analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Social media tracking pixels
- Cross-site tracking of any kind
4. Local Storage & Database Preferences
In addition to cookies, CivicRadar uses other browser storage mechanisms:
- localStorage: Your theme preference (light/dark mode) is stored in your browser's localStorage. This is not a cookie and is never sent to our servers.
- sessionStorage: Temporary UI state (e.g., dismissing the beta banner) is stored in sessionStorage and cleared when you close the browser tab.
- Database: Dashboard filter preferences and notification settings are stored in our database, associated with your account. These persist across devices when you log in.
